State House of Representative District 19 seat. The candidate
filing closed at noon on February 28th. At that time,
The New Hanover Board of Elections confirmed that no one has filed to
run against Representative McComas in the Primary or General Election.
This information secures Representative McComas to his eighth term to
the State House of Representatives.
Representative McComas has
served as a State House of Representative since 1995. Currently,
he is a member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Committee,
Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House, Public Utilities, and
Financial Institution Committees. He is the Vice Chairman of both
Finance and Transportation Committees.
